That was my immediate thought when I saw this! They did appear to have put just a small bit of effort into making it different... but not enough to hide the obvious source of their inspiration.

Well...To some extent at least, form follows function.

So it's not surprising that aircraft made for a specific purpose look similar, but...

But it does seem that most of the soviet military aircraft, do resemble the US planes they are based off of.
