Is there any use in welding on some clasps and a hinge that would let you cut down that change time, or drilling and tapping some holes for bolts and using a power tool to get the mold cycled faster?

I like this. I think additive manufacturing is liable to supplant injection molding, but we need to preserve older methods in case things go sideways.
