This was pretty clever and looked great. Back when I was teaching Drafting and CAD I required students to board draft first so they would learn about constructing layout lines for complex shapes in projects...basically Geometry. This gave them the wherewithal to see how to construct pretty much anything. The final was a 6 bladed fan with a complex center-mount and curved blades with tangential curves and the working drawing they used had minimal dimensions. Once they could see how the geometry worked CAD became easy because you draw a few lines and mostly edit to get the desired shapes.
I Agree with Frank about the pipe....butt them together and bore the hole in both. It would have looked better and it looks like the hole would come out just below the bevel.![]()
