Integrated ladder leveler - GIF

I have a similar device but the ad for it shows this petite little lady carrying the extender ladder out from under a stair case. Looks so light & easy where in reality it is quite heavy and cumbersome. After watching the ad several times I realised that she had only 1/2 the ladder lol: very cunning advertising.

Gimicky and/or cheating? I once was seeking out ideas from display homes & noticed that the furniture seemed a bit odd. All areas where furniture was on display were roped off with signage about not sitting at tables etc. I decided to check the houses out again but took a tape measure. When sales folk were attending others, I measured rooms & furniture & the furniture was smaller than normal but the rooms sizes were according to plan. Having a friend who worked (architectural draftsman) for a subsidery company I challenged him about it. He told me all their furniture was custom made to 90% normal size. Trickey Dickey sods.
