    Intro

    Hello,

I'm a retired Army guy who just got into machining since I have a little bit of time on my hands. I'm trying to learn what I can about the vast subject. I pretty much work with most matrials: metal, wood and some plastics. Since many of the specialty tools are extremely expensive I would rather try to build them. Thanks for having me.

    Hi jturn018,

    Welcome!

What sort of machining projects do you have in mind? The answer will be a good guide toward the most likely tooling you'll need to build…
