    Introducing Hermetic (Phil)

Hi all, Hermetic here from East Yorkshire, UK. I am rebuilding my workshop at the moment, or rather redoing what was not done properly when it was built in the 1970's! I have Colchester and Covmac lathes, Raglan and Harrison milling machines, an Alba Shaping machine, and various drilling machines. When I have finished there will be a blacksmiths shop with forge, brazing hearth, casting area too and I am thinking of forming some sort of community workshop along the "mens shed" lines. Have been lurking here for years on the Homemadetools area, but have not been on the forum before.
    Phil.

    Hi Phil,

Welcome - glad to have you here!

Sounds as though you've got an incredible set of machine tools. Adding blacksmithing gear to that lot will be more fun than one guy should have!

What's the first thing you've got planned once the shop is ready to go?

    Ken

Hi hermetic - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

Sounds like you are embarking on a very exciting project. The men's shed movement is interesting; I wish we had something more like it in the US. I assume there will be some homemade tools along the way What tools are you considering building for the workshop?
