Introduction

Hi I'm Jon, I have what is probably considered a compulsion for making things myself, and as I get deeper into it, I find that making my own tools is even more satisfying, so finding this site is a happy accident for sure! It's gonna mean a lot more time disappearing mysteriously as well if history teaches anything :smash: ...but hey.. at least I'm not blowing all my time on facebook etc. like so many unfortunate souls are stuck doing.
SO thanks to all who've made this place possible, I look forward to finding priceless inspiration and solutions for a long time here, and hopefully sharing some of my own creations as as well.

With that attitude, it sounds like you'll fit in well around here. :)

Don't get me started on Facebook. :) The technical answer might be that they're a community, but not a community of practice.

So what are you looking to build next? Any particular projects that catch your eye?

The most I can say for Facebook is that I wish I'd thought of it. :lol:

What sort of homemade tools do you like to build? What are you working on at the moment?
