Introduction

Hi I'm Jon, I have what is probably considered a compulsion for making things myself, and as I get deeper into it, I find that making my own tools is even more satisfying, so finding this site is a happy accident for sure! It's gonna mean a lot more time disappearing mysteriously as well if history teaches anything ...but hey.. at least I'm not blowing all my time on facebook etc. like so many unfortunate souls are stuck doing.
SO thanks to all who've made this place possible, I look forward to finding priceless inspiration and solutions for a long time here, and hopefully sharing some of my own creations as as well.

Don't get me started on Facebook. The technical answer might be that they're a community, but not a community of practice.

So what are you looking to build next? Any particular projects that catch your eye?

The most I can say for Facebook is that I wish I'd thought of it.

What sort of homemade tools do you like to build? What are you working on at the moment?
