Jaguar shooting brake carrier - photo

They look like Jag D-types on the roof. I'm more curious about the car on the ground. It looks like a Volvo P1800ES, but it's not. Hood emblem looks like a BMW. European car experts please chime in!

I think somebody has buggered up the description of the photo somewhere along the line, far too many fat fingers using a keyboard and it's been through the washing machine once or twice, eh.
Possibly the name for the photo should read ---- "Jaguar XJS Shooting Brake and Race Car Transporter"
The truck is a Commer TS3 with a very modified bit of bodywork on the chassis, here's a tad of reading regarding this set-up -- https://www.classicdriver.com/en/art...se-transporter

Ha! before writing the above I told the Mrs. it looked a lot like a Jag XJS, but I'd never seen the wagon version... in the States we'd call it a Jaguar "Nomad."

For the benefit of folks unfamiliar (as I was) with the term "shooting brake", this will help...
