    Jet bird strike + payload dump + explosion - video

    Jet bird strike + payload dump + explosion. Indian Air Force. Can any military pilots attest to whether this is correct procedure or not? I guess it kinda makes sense, depending on circumstances. 0:50 video:

    Can't say for sure but 2 of the dropped objects looked like extended range fuel pods and those would have for sure been dropped if the other 2 were general purpose bombs to something else that would have requiring arming before dropping then they may have been dropped as well it's hard to say since the pilot was the only one who knew the extent of the damage to his aircraft even a 12 million dollar smart bomb is less of a loss than a 150million dollar air craft
