Jigs, bases and the like

Looking for jigs or any similar helpful tools to use. Right now, I have an interest in sharpening tools and knives.
I'm also planning to try my hand at some wood carving.

Right now, I'm going through my Dad's old stuff for my Mom. The tools are rusty and dull. I can't throw them out, and I can't just leave them as they are. Want to devise some type of stand or clamping system to hold the dremel stationary while I gently bring them back to useful implements of construction,
