    JRW Sheet Metal Brake

    I’ve been working on this JRW Sheet Metal Brake for a couple years now.
    Finally decided to bring it to a close and get er done.

    Plans call for 24" width. If you scale it for wider material, I'd go 3/4" on parts #3 and #7, if you plan on going over 30" width.

    Very nice. I need one but I don’t fancy buildi g one. Here in Germany even 50 years old ones still cost 1000€.

    1000€ huh. Well, at current exchange rate 1.15:1, less cost than common here. Insisting on 48", hoping on 16 [.062] gauge, after 10 years settled for 18 [.050] gauge. At $1150, half the price I'd taken as going rate, was finally satisfied. Often 48" to 72" inchers are 4 to 5 thousand. Old brakes never die...but I don't know when they get gold-plated!
