    Just saying hello

Hey everyone, very happy to be here, ready to learn, and may even have a trick or two to share. Never claim to be a whiz, but Daddy always told me "Even a blind hog finds an acorn every once in a while, right Son?"

He also to me "If you're gonna be dumb, you'd better be tough" and since I'm a bit old to be tough anymore, I try to work smarter not harder.

That's it for the cliches, I hope you don't mind if I dig through the library and find something to keep me busy over the winter.

I enjoy metal, cars, tools, and making things with my own two hands.

    Have a great weekend...Stirmind

    Hi Stirmind,

    Welcome!

Cliches or not, I think you'll find lots of agreement hereabouts for all of those sentiments.

What are you working on at the moment?

Thanks guys, I'm currently building a table for the little drillpress I got for Christmas. Standard Welding fabrication using scrap I beam for the deck and little spindly 3/4" sch.40 legs with 3/16th" plate squares for the feet I'm going to anchor into my concrete floor.

Actually just taking a break now and reading emails.

Thanks for the warm welcome and I see that there is so much here I will have weeks of fun just poking around!
