    Thanks Randy.

Most of my knurling is performed very close to the spinning chuck. The original knurling tool adjustment nut barely cleared the knurled height adjuster for the QCTP. Even worst was the possibility of accidentally hitting the spinning chuck when using even a short crescent wrench (~4") to adjust the knurling pressure. That is why I made the knurl adjustment extension extra long so there was no way to swing the wrench around and hit the spinning chuck. In most cases I do not use the wrench anymore because the knurled height adjuster can be tightened by hand and provides just the right pressure for superior formation of knurls on 303 stainless steel (for example see http://www.homemadetools.net/forum/s...3072#post77395 ).

    Regards, Paul Jones
