Thank you for the post I will be making one as I have over 60 3/16" copper rivets I have to thread 2BA for stays in a copper boiler I am curently making. As you can appreciate I need to find a quick way to load and unload each round head rivet, I like this method which in conjuntion with my coventry die head, think this will be a good starting point to hold the stays and cut the threads. Which will also give good repeatability as the rivet head is against a fixed stop. So many thanks for taking the time to post.
