Even with the laminate cuts, they couldn't bend it so easily without steaming it for several hours first to make the layers more flexible. Here's a video of the process...

That's for sure. It's a bent lamination but they missing the outer band strap I usually use steel as it seems to behave well enough. It's used to keep the outer layer in compression. I see quite a few voids in the lamination near the top of the bend.
