Thanks for posting this Jon. I've been trying to figure out how to pin the threaded chuck backplate. Seems this may work to run the lathe in reverse. The only negative is the through hole is not available, but on my small lathe, that's only a 15/16" hole. Single point threading away from the headstock would be my most used turning use.
