I expected to see orange jumpsuits.
(Actually, it was black and white stripes in the old cartoons.)

Is it me or does this seem like a REALLY SLOW process? Our state went to a digitally printed type plate. Rolls of aluminum, printed stickers applied and then the roll is cut into plates. You can run specialty and custom plates in line if you want instead of making special runs for them. I CU L8R

Turkey, plates are made by authorised private companies and are probably for the life of the vehicle, not annually replaced.

I have noticed that Georgia and some others (Tenn) have plates that are not embossed. I have not gone up and checked out what they are made of ( I don't want to get shot)

TN plates are made of aluminum with a plastic overlay just like always.

    Just no raised letters.

Raised letters are harder to bastardise discretely to read differently, black electrical tape to disguise a vehicles identity is a major issue in the UK, if they've not fitted 'cloned' illegally manufactured plates, especially as more and more traffic 'enforcement' and road charging is done by ANPR/CCTV, and we know that never makes mistakes: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...-plate-t-shirt
