Mostly joined out of curiosity. I have been a handy kinda guy for most of my life, starting out being my Dad's (he is in his 90th year) helper as he repaired residential heating and cooling systems, commercial an residential refrigeration, and household appliances way back when that was still a thing, starting when I was around 5 up through my teenage years. I started with working using his power tools to rehab our home in NYC. Used all types of wood working power and hand tools, mixed and poured concrete, did electrical wiring, re-plumbed the house, replacing all of the steel pipe with threaded brass pipe. Learned how to use a metal cutting lathe, drill press. Replaced seven bathrooms in the homes we lived in. Went to school for engineering, ended up being a Systems Analyst, but do wood working as a hobby and I am fascinated with Jigs and DIY tools that replace store purchased items. My HS STL project was to build a lucite body, maple neck electric bass guitar. YouTube wood working channels are my addiction.
