I really like this ancient craftsmanship and the tools he was using, particularly the cloth and stick vice he used to clamp it to a tree.
I guess old Chinese people find it more comfortable to squat 6 inches higher than normal. I would need a stool like that to be at least 2 feet high or I would never be able to get up again.

I too would want to start with a much longer board to get usable height. I wonder what they used for a saw blade 2600 years ago?
