Rick,
This is a great alternative to Joe Pieczynski's method of drill into the chuck. I now use a Gator Brand "TECH-TRU" 6-Jaw chuck most of the time and would prefer using your technique than having to drill holes in this wonderful chuck. Joe's method is impressive and great for production work vs. my hobby machining.
