The bogey arrangement would aid load/ unload, but not the real benefit to me.
It's the large diameter of wheels overcoming floor irregularities, better than pipe ever could. Also enables a range of steering that Egyptian style rolling does not. It's not traditionally designed and all of it works very well.
The adjustment/ clamping arrangement makes this easily worth consideration.
