Germany has a 'MAK-Liste', which lists the max. permitted concentration of solvents (et al.) at a workplace. Acetone's value is 1200mg/m3 - which is much higher (means: safer) than other solvents used in workshops. Because of its high flammability Acetone is practically not in use anymore, though.
