As a skateboarder in the early 1970's when all we had were Bakelite wheels,(Incidentally myself and a friend were the first in NZ to have Polyurethane wheels because his sister was on the commonwealth skating team and we were able to buy a set of trucks from the importer),I understand all too well the dilemma of a small wheel encountering a small obstacle suck as a rock especially at high speed.
Kwandotechnics wheels look reasonably substantial though for the environment..
