    really great documentary video of a trade which has almost completely disappeared due to industrial automation created throwaway society we have today.
    About the only remaining real world use for wooden barrels today is spirits beverages as in wine whiskey rum and ETC. The finer grades are still aged and stored in wood barrels. Now days these would be made on CNC machines the parts would be transported along on conveyors and probably assembled by robots.

    Very interesting and educational video. It's so great to watch a true craftsman working his skill. He makes it looks so easy, but I guarantee that most of us couldn't come even close to making a functional bucket or barrel without a lot of help, time & rework.
    That was well worth the time to watch the entire video, thanks for sharing.

    First off we would have to make or reshape a lot of tools or we would do it the modern way and cut everything out on CNC machines

    that was interesting.jack daniels uses alot barrels for there whiskey
