    Making a metal scribe

In this video I make a metal scribe from a broken M6 tap and a steel rod. I ground the tip of the scribe on my disk sander by spinning it in a drill.

The tap was welded on a steel rod and while it was red hot I hit it with a hammer to center it which is a really useful technique.

I then used a file and a disk sander to shape so that it is comfortable to hold.

This is a project that I should have done a long time ago as it is now my main tool for laying out in metal.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching. Please like, comment and subscribe
