    In my part-time gig as an Auctioneer, I see a lot of stuff.
    at a recent auction I bought nearly an identical hammer only difference is they used the handle of an old ratchet or 3/8 breaker bar for a handle. I thought it was just too cool to pass up.

    I suspect that OP was using the term tongue-in-cheek. He used a drill bit as a filler rod to give the pointy bits a harder surface. Such a material is rare in the sense that it is not common in welding rod form.

    Jodi Collier of weldmonger.com did a video about this recently. It's a genius idea.
