GARVIN SCREW CUTTING METAL LATHE

This Metal lathe was originally manufactured in the late 1800's. It was originally a line shaft machine with drive belts driven by a common overhead shaft. In the 1920's a device was added so it could be run off an electric motor thereby useable in a small machine shop. I found it in an old airport hanger that was being torn down.
