About jclayjim
If I could not work with my hands and not make what I envision.......I'D GO CRAZY!!!!!!

That said, over the years I have taught myself silversmithing, lapidary skills (rock polishing and faceting for jewelry), airbrush painting (published in Air Brush magazine and Picture Framing magazine), unusual and innovative picture framing techniques (had my own picture framing store for a number of years) and handmade historic and artsy birdhouses. Wildlife photography is currently a big thing with me and I just finished making a 48" motorized camera slider. I also use RC trucks and boats to take my photography where I can't go.
Along the way I have made "helper" tools not otherwise found anywhere else. I am now 73 and have had to slow down due to diabetes affecting my hands and other things as a result of Agent Orange (a gift from my government).
Twenty years in the military, first as a Hospital Corpsman (Navy and Marine Corps) and then as a crew chief for 1 and 2 jet fighter aircraft (Air Force).

Now my aim is to work with wood and epoxy resins. Still finding my way with the resin thing.
silversmithing, wood things, photography, air brushing and resin epoxy in wood
