I just like to say ,Hi there every one, i just found this Webb site while looking for some ideas for small gear cutting machine, and it looks to me there are many more great ideas of interest on here to follow, I'm looking for some interesting metal cutting lathe projects, that are a little bit different than your usual stuff , at the moment I'm working on a dividing head using an electronic angle finder as my calibrator.

How is the dividing head build going?

Hi Jon , many thanks for the quick reply , sorry that I have taken so long to reply to your message, my dividing head project is progressing on my days off work, so far I have rough cut a disc of aliminium , this will be turned in to a chuck face plate. My next job was to squared up a 50mm block of aliminium on my lathe, after that then drilled out fixing holes, which I used to attached the block to the lathe crosslide. The main body block has now been drilled out ready for reaming for the main shaft. I'm trying too attach a picture of the block on my lathe at the moment but not having any luck at the moment, best regards Mike
