I have made a couple of vise stops over the years but I think this type just may be the best.
All of the adjustments and the securing of the main rod to the vise are with a 5/32 Allen Wrench.
The main connectors are made from 7/8 dia. brass. Steel or even Aluminum could be used.
I just happened to have a lot of 7/8" brass stock. It grips better than I thought it would.
Once locked down with the 10-32 allen wrench the connectors do not slip.
All of the screws have a small amount of grease applied.
I used Drill rod for the shafts. Sequence of the build is on the prints.
It can be positioned anywhere on the part unlike all of my other stops that are a bit
limited on where the stop will end up on the part.
Cheers, JR
