mini digger ripper tooth

Hi All

The latest project I have just finished is a ripper tooth for my mini digger fitted with a Harford hitch. The main body, I was able to get water cut and then just a little bit of fettling to get everything to fit.
The claw tooth was an Ebay purchase and was welded to a piece of plate so was ground off.
The main body is 26mm plate and all other pieces are made from 10mm plate.
The welded joints are all arc welded and hopefully built up strong enough for the forces that the claw will endure when using it.

Mock up to check fitting of main body with a few things to adjust.

Parts cleaned up ready for welding the main body of the claw.

Body milled to accept weld on tooth body and then tack welded in position.

All welded up needing a wire brush.

Ready for some paint.

All finished

Fitted to digger

The claw will be used for removing stubborn rocks and roots.
