    Apparently there is a secret woodworker's guild in France that makes these beautifully crafted miniature staircases.

    They are very impressive, but I don’t know about it being a secretive group. Graduating from journeyman to master in France entails submitting a design project of sufficient complexity to qualify. I find the carpentry projects especially interesting.
