Is there an European equivalent that was mass produced post WWI? I only see the world from the middle of the USA, and I know Auto invented the engine.
I own a 1924 Model TT (T Truck, 1 ton). It was badly cared for before I got it 46 years ago. And it has sat in a mostly conditioned garage space. Last summer I dragged it out, and all the stuff that was on it, as it became a storage shelf. I peeled the 85 year old rubber off the 100 year old rims. The cost of replacing the tires, rims, as they are clincher type, and at 60PSI, (crazy pressure for 1924) if I can find the rear rims, as the truck, used a larger size then the front in this model year, I think my last estimate was >$3000, rims for the front were $600 each if I can find them.
So I look at FaceBook Market place, I can find 4 Model T trucks within 200 miles of me. They are trying to sell them for $10000. Pristine running restored condition. I'm crazy continuing.......These are not rare things. Who wants to drive something that needs a real transmission to get it to go faster. Then it's not original, but usable.

The Citroen Type A was probably the first mass-produced European car. They were able to produce something like 100 per day.

Regarding your Model TT wheels and tires, there are a few listings on eBay for somewhat less than what you were quoted. Hope that helps.
