Thumbs up ( MOM ) MILK OF MAGNESIA

Hello, I was working on putting a new exhaust gasket in my 56, TO35 Massey this weekend and as I was taking the exhaust bolts loose and I thought,

(I Dipped These Bolts I MOM 24 Years Ago When I Put The First New Gasket In)

And they came out like the day they where put in, cracked them loose and screwed out with my fingers..
the threads looked clean and fresh,,,

I guess its second nature that I use MOM for an anti seize and have never thought much about it.

I remember Dad using it all the time on the farm, he was a B52 mechanic for years and that was all he used for engine assembly.

The Navy used only MOM for high heat assemblies on the jet engines because the heat would cause a chemical reaction and with time only get better to break down the MOM and leave only the magnesium to coat the threads.

So, this is just to let you know that it does work and have used it for years on almost everything I assemble, especially high heat areas. Exhausts-Heads-Manifolds... Just dip and assemble

Hope this helps someone in the future.

    Tim
