    Frank S's Tools
I used to have a tool similar to this, and other tools of this nature for other makes of engines However for some makes what I did was to stop the piston several degrees short of TDC then insert a length of nylon braided cord into the spark plug hole then rotate the engine until the cord stopped the piston. This seemed to help hold the valves higher in the head which helped for re installing the springs and keepers after a stem seal replacement. But sometimes I used a bent probe through the plug hole to hold the valve in place, when for some reason while trying to install the keeper the valve would get pushed down a little. The new seals nearly always held them in place on their own Or I could pull the stems back up with a flat tip screw driver while holding the spring depressed
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products
