I only spent about 5 weeks, total, in Morocco, and 3 years, total, in Turkey, decades ago. There are a lot of fantastic craftsmen in those two countries. Metal, stone, and ceramics works as done in that part of the world can be exceptionally beautiful, and also quite useful. The technology they use to produce it is generally quite simple, if you're smart enough to figure out how to do it in the first place. They manage just fine.

I think we spent that long between planes in Istanbul a couple of times. At least it felt like it. July, crowded, can't leave the building... fun place to spend a day looking for one of few air conditioned areas with seats

I think he's been doing that all day, nearly every day, for years and years. Doesn't really look old enough for that, either, does he? Seriously well practiced at what he's doing.

Just love the way the two bits match and fit perfect.
