    Mount for caster camber gage

I needed a way to mount the magnetic Caster camber gage to the axle on the GMC pickup since I had replaced both CV assemblies I had the old spindle nuts that I cold thread on the few threads sticking out of the axle I welded a disk to them and machined them true then stuck the gage to them.

these inexpensive gages work great but you need to zero them against some known perfectly vertical member prior to use each time.

That's excellent. Years ago I saw a bunch of VW Beetle guys that made a couple large caliper looking things that hook into the lip of the rim. They were using a pair of these rigs plus a tape measure to set the alignment and toe-in. I tried to duplicate that with by skimming two laser levels across the surface of the rubber. I could never get it to work out well enough to drive around on.
