    Thanks, JR!
I am currently trying Libre Cad.
I think I will get along well with it but as with anything new, there will be a learning curve.

Libre Cad is a great 2D program and you can find a lot of tutorials and examples on youtube.
I have learned almost everything I know about Turbocad from the tube!

    Cheers, JR

    Hi jjr2001,

Thanks for the YouTube tip. I continue to read and practice, but I don’t often think of using the Tube.

One .PDF file and a couple of links that are of interest to Librecad users.
    You may find them useful.
The .PDF is a good primer on Isometric and Orthogonal drawing.
The links are just reference material.

    Here they are.

    Cheers, JR

    jjr2001,

Thanks for posting the links on LibreCad. I have the heikell.fi download on my kindle now for ready reference when I am working/learning. Happy to have that.
My Cad experience goes back decades starting with Cadkey in the early eighties. I have used this software to the present day which is now known as Key Creator. My computer crashed so I am starting over. It is hard to start out from scratch but i will make it.

Sorry to hear about your crash....I hate it when that happens!!.

I do not use any virus or commercial backups or the cloud.....
I just have my own little system of collecting and saving my data/files/programs on hard drives located in various places.
Even with that it is a royal pain when I have to restore a system. However, it nice to know that I have all of my "Stuff" somewhere!

    Happy cadding, JR

    jjr2001,
Do you know of any CAD file converter that can read or convert .prt files?

I believe that Autodesk Fusion 360 and Adobe Acrobat DC will open them.
I think Acrobat DC is the pay for version of Acrobat.
Fusion 360 free should open them.
