    Narushevich Ring Wing - video

    Designed and built by Arkady Narushevich, the Narushevich Ring Wing is an experimental aircraft featuring annular wings. The aircraft is currently on display at the Borovaya Aviation Museum in Minsk, Belarus.

    I was waiting for a prop strike! Seems kind of inefficient. Nothing more than a biplane with the upper and lower wings connected.

    Certainly wasn't designed by any kind of aeronautical engineer. The oval wing provide no practical purpose. And would, in fact destroy upwards of 50% of the wing tip's lift (if you vector the actual direction(s) of lift). I suspect it could easily exacerbate inside wing stall – in a turn – as well.
