Hello all

My name is Dennis from Washington. I used to be from Alaska which explains my username. I would describe myself as a retired contractor who is finally indulging his penchant for machining. If I were to rate myself I would say hack. Being an optimist I guess that means I can only get better. And that is why I am here. I trolled a bit and found your site fascinating.

Lol......well, I'm going through your plans as I type, but right now I'm working on making an adapter to mount a 4 jaw chuck on the tailstock as a poor mans steady rest. I used to use a huge industrial pipe threading machine with 2 spinning chucks to build driveshafts and thought it might be useful for some other things I want to do. Besides, I had a chuck lying around.....
