New Portable Dust Collector

I looked for examples of and plans for small dust collectors to keep them as compact as possible. I came up with this design, scaled to my new smaller DeWalt vac (5 HP) using a cheap Dust Deputy knock-off. It works very well and lends itself to a "central vac" set up which I will be working on in the future. It follows me around to whatever machine I'm using and when I sweep up. So far, the inside of the vacuum is spotless but I've emptied the bucket twice now. The CG is relatively low even though it looks kind of tippy, it pulls easily without fear of it falling over. When not in use it stores in a relatively small space.

Hi Gang: I helped my brother-in-law build this dust catcher from a 55 gallon barrow:

For suction he used a Harbor Freight vacuum. The green bucket has a screw on lid to allow it to be emptied. The exhaust air exits from the cloth bag on the left. All is mounted on the ceiling to save floor space.
