Hello - love homebuilt/handmade tools & jigs, welding & fabrication. Always on the lookout for better ways or techniques to solve a problem. I'm equally at home with wood or metal but lean more toward metal fab. Newly interested in glassblowing too. Presently setting up shop in a just moved into two a half car plus loft garage - insulated & sheet rocked, but no heat as yet. I'd have preferred bare wood similar to a blacksmith's shop but the previous owner finished it off (I wouldn't have spent the bucks) so I'm treating myself good & spackling the walls to perfection & painting white for maximum light reflection. Endless projects and never ending improvements after that!

How is the shop build going? Agreed on sheetrock, BTW. OSB is a better choice, but if the sheetrock is already installed, finishing and painting it is the way to go.
