Wait, this is different Because you should make TWO identical ones!

I've had some recent turning jobs where I've had to machine back & forth between 2 specific lateral positions, an internal grooved section within a bore. This speeds up moving the carriage to a dial position & gets backlash out of the equation. I thought it would be nice to utilize a quick release clamp to get them in & out of position, no reaching for hex keys to loosen & tighten cap screws. The handles are sprung so you just pull up a bit & rotate to some other convenient détente position so its out of the way.
