Not exactly home made but definitely modified

Hi,
Been struggling a bit with light on my drill press the old anglepoise lamp just too big and gets in the way.

Then i spotted an annular LED device on Ebay that fits round the quill for a milling machine. That is when the "lightbulb" came on (pardon the pun )

Amongst my collection of "spares" i have a defunct small security camera which had 35+ i/r leds in it (the camera bit has long since joined the great scrap heap in the sky ). the housing is still immaculate with a shade and is 12V powered.



So 35+ 12V ultra-white leds later i will have a new small & neat spot lamp mounted on a very large bulldog paper holder to clamp on just about any bit of protruding machine :-)
