Anti-nuclear sentiment. Nuclear is a boogie man. People who know absolutely nothing about it will spout on endlessly about how horrible it is.

When I encounter folks like that, I ask them if they know how many nuclear-powered ships the US Navy has. If they even know there are nuclear powered vessels then I ask them how many runaway melt downs, there has ever been onboard a ship.

Nuclear power could be the cheapest form of energy in the world if so, much of the material wasn't wasted on warheads It could also be the safest and greenest if as much research and development was put in power plants as in making better ways to destroy the world with bombs.
