Odd screwless vise

A while back I needed an intermediate sized screwless vise so but GROMAX one. Works fine except for one small oddity. When I took it out of the box something fell out/off and landed on my foot.

Upon inspection I found this doesn't have the normal steps that you pull the nut into, instead you place the nut where you need it and slide a fairly large pin through the vise to hold it.

This works great unless you tip it sideways and drop the pin on your foot (at least once per job) and if you might have to move the nut once you've set up your mill you need to leave space to get the pin out.
