Oil drilling rig walking - GIF

Like me, did you wonder: where is it walking to? The answer is: it is walking among different oil drilling sites that are near to each other. AFAIK it's just simpler to incorporate a walking mechanism into the drilling rig as opposed to disassembling it just to re-assemble it 100 yards away.

No Ididn't wonder where it was going since we used to move them short distances up to 10 miles by only laying the derrick and depending on the size of the rig sometimes having to remove the draw works and power head.
