    Given the elaborate form of the structure and the seeming unimportance of the attached signs,
    this could be the protective barrier for an upcoming bridge or low underpass.
    It did its job, in spite of the Isuzu driver apparently giving it his best shot.

    Referring to the truck that gets it's box torn off by the sign, this is the first beneficial application I've seen of bolts made from chinesium.

    That sort of thing happens quite frequently here in Davenport, IA. with several low-clearance railroad bridges and inattentive truck drivers.
