OK, but I see an obvious problem. Having been a fork lift operator for 50 years, I can say that the forks moving the load forward during the lift is going to cause all kinds of problems. My tractor can lift pallets with far less horizontal movement.

This turns a simple task of one axis motion into a two axis motion problem and one axis is the machine position...
